AI Literacy for teachers

This special course aims to help teachers of all subjects become familiar with what AI is and how they can adopt a critical approach to using it in their teaching, assessment, and with their students.

FAQ

1. What is going to be covered in the course? It covers AI basics, prompt engineering, creating diverse content (text, images, audio, video, and presentations), and integrating AI into teaching and assessment while addressing ethics, bias, and accessibility. Participants will engage in interactive activities, develop practical skills, and reflect on AI's benefits and challenges for effective and responsible use in education.

2. How is the course going to be delivered? There will be synchronous live meetings with additional asynchronous time for practice, self-reflection, and peer feedback. Meetings will be held on [platform name]. We expect all participants to be active throughout the course, which includes having their cameras and microphones on, and being willing to share their screens during collaborative activities.

3. What kind of a (technical) setup am I going to need? To make sure that the live sessions go smoothly, please have a strong and reliable internet connection (preferably wifi), a working webcam and microphone, a computer that can withstand having a videoconferencing tool and several other webpages open at the same time. We'd also like to ask you to work from a quiet space, and not from a coffee shop, busy office, or public library.

4. What's the payment policy? Payment should be received 20 days prior to the start of the course. You can pay via international and local bank transfer, Wise, or Revolut. Payment details will be given on the registration confirmation you receive. A 75% refund can only be given if registration is canceled 15 days prior to the start of the course. A 50% refund may be given if registration is canceled within 14-7 days prior. In the case of refunds, a 15 EUR administrative fee is applicable.

5. Can I pay in instalments? Only if you register for the 4-week part-time course. In this case, please, email the course tutor directly and ask for further information.

6. What happens at the end of the course? You will be asked to put together a [type of assessment]. Upon successful completion, you are going to receive a certificate. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that this course will be accepted by accreditation boards around the world.
